Osteoporosis

Treatment

Bones are a living organism and are constantly remodeling and rebuilding. As we age the balance between remodeling and rebuilding changes. The rebuilding process tends to slow and worsen due to a lack of estrogen, vitamin deficiency, and usage of medications for chronic conditions such as GERD treatment.

Possible Causes Include:

  •  Loss of Estrogen

  • Aging

  • Hysterectomy

  • Vitamin D Deficiency

  • Bariatric Surgery

  • Continual Glucocorticoid Treatment

  • Parathyroid Hormone Dysfunction

  • Calcium Deficiency

  • Medications Treating Chronic Heartburn
